Five ways to help John — starting today
People often ask us what they can actually do. Here are five honest answers, set down roughly in the order of how much difference they make.
1. Come knocking on doors with us. Nothing else does quite so much as a real conversation on a doorstep. You need no experience; go round with someone who has done it before and you will soon find your feet.
2. Deliver leaflets. A bundle of leaflets and a walk about your own streets, done at your own pace and in your own time.
3. Lend a hand, a room or a car. A front room for a cup of tea after canvassing, a lift to a session, a garage to keep the leaflet boxes in. Small things, but they are what keep a volunteer campaign on its feet.
4. Speak up for us online. Follow us, share what we post, and tell your friends why you are backing John. It mounts up.
5. Join the mailing list. Even if you cannot spare the time just now, being counted is worth a good deal.
